SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS
We don’t store your screenshots or conversations. We temporarily process your screenshots and the text in them only to tell you what to respond next. We do not retain those screenshots or message contents in our database after the response is generated.
What do we store? We store limited account and usage data such as your contact details, account identifiers, device identifiers, and basic usage metrics (for example, how many times you’ve used the app or how many credits you’ve used).
Providing your email is required to use Texmi. We need your email (or similar login identifier) to create and maintain your account; if you choose not to provide it, you will not be able to use the core features of the app.
Do we use your email for marketing and ads? Yes, subject to applicable law, we may use your email address for marketing (like product updates) and to create advertising audiences (for example, Facebook/Meta or Google custom and lookalike audiences). You can opt out at any time.
Do we sell your data? We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data with service providers and advertising partners to operate the Services and run campaigns.
Who can use Texmi? Texmi is intended for individuals 13 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Do you have privacy rights? Yes. Depending on where you live (for example, EU/UK, certain U.S. states), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain uses of your personal information. We aim to respond to valid requests within one month.
More detail is below.
1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
A. Information you provide directly
We collect personal information you provide when you interact with the Services or contact us.
Account & contact information
We may collect:
- Contact details such as your email address
- Account identifiers used to manage your profile
- Any information you include when you contact us by email or support form
Providing this information (especially your email or similar login credential) is necessary to create and maintain a Texmi account. If you choose not to provide it, you will not be able to use the core features of the app.
In-app content you submit (ephemeral)
Texmi works by:
- You take a screenshot of a conversation
- You share that screenshot (or its content) with the app to get a suggested reply
To do this, we process:
- The image content of the screenshot
- The underlying text in that screenshot or conversation
We do not store this screenshot or conversation content in our database after the response is generated. It is processed transiently to provide the Service and then discarded or irreversibly anonymized, except for limited technical logging as described below.
We ask you not to include unnecessary highly sensitive information (for example, health details, financial account numbers, or government IDs) in screenshots you upload.

3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON (EU/UK USERS)?
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom (UK), we rely on the following legal bases:
Performance of a contract
To provide the Service you requested (generate suggested replies, manage your account and usage) and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
Legitimate interests
For:
- Analytics and product improvement
- Preventing fraud and abuse
- Basic direct marketing and advertising (including custom and lookalike audiences), where local law allows this on the basis of legitimate interest, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests. You can object to this processing at any time (see Section 10).

- Certain types of cookies/analytics/marketing on the website
- Email marketing and use of your email for ad audiences, if consent is required in your country
You can withdraw your consent or object to certain uses at any time as described in Section 10. This will not affect the lawfulness of processing that has already taken place.
4. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?

B. AI / processing vendors
To generate suggested replies, we may send your screenshot or its extracted text to third-party AI providers acting as our processors. They process this content on our behalf and under our instructions. We do not authorize them to use your data for their own advertising purposes.
C. Advertising partners
Subject to applicable law and your choices, we may share:
- Identifiers such as your email address (sometimes in hashed form)

Kept while you have an account and for a reasonable period after you stop using the app for legal, tax, and accounting purposes, or to resolve disputes and enforce our terms.
Logs and analytics:
Retained for a limited period appropriate to our operational and security needs, then deleted or anonymized.
When we no longer have a legitimate need to process your personal information, we delete or anonymize it. If that isn’t possible (for example, because it is stored in backups), we securely store it and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.
8. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information, such as:
- Encryption of data in transit where appropriate
- Access controls limiting who can access production systems
- Internal policies and safeguards aimed at protecting user data
However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of storage is 100% secure. Use of the Services is at your own risk, and you should only use them in a secure environment.
9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Texmi is intended for individuals 13 years of age or older.
We do not direct the Services to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take reasonable steps to delete their account and any associated personal information as soon as reasonably practicable.

You can make a request by contacting us at support@texmi.app.
We aim to respond to all valid requests within one month of receiving them. If your request is particularly complex or we receive multiple requests from you, we may extend this period by up to two further months, and we will let you know if that happens.
For EEA/UK users, if you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
